Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 19, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Frontier Pet Software websites, applications, booking pages, client portals, communications tools, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Frontier Pet Software LLC ("Frontier Pet," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, requesting membership, accessing the Service, or clicking to accept these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you are accepting on behalf of a salon, business, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" means that entity.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy (https://www.frontierpet.io/privacy) explains how we collect, use, and protect information and is incorporated by reference.

If we process personal information on your behalf as a service provider, the Data Processing Addendum (https://www.frontierpet.io/dpa) applies and is incorporated into these Terms.

1. The Service

Frontier Pet provides a multi-tenant pet salon management platform used by pet grooming and related pet-care businesses ("Salons"), their employees and authorized users, and their clients.

Depending on your plan and configuration, the Service may include appointment and calendar management, client and pet records, online booking, client portal features, messaging (including SMS and email), notifications, payments and tips processed through third-party payment providers, timekeeping and payroll-related tools, multi-location and chain administration, and related operational features.

We may modify, add, or discontinue features of the Service from time to time. If a change materially reduces core paid functionality, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

2. Accounts, Eligibility, and Authorized Users

You must provide accurate information when requesting membership or creating an account and keep it current.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials for your Salon and users
  • All activity under your accounts
  • Ensuring each user has only the access appropriate to their role
  • Promptly notifying us of unauthorized access or security incidents involving your accounts

Salon owners and administrators may invite employees and other authorized users. You are responsible for those users' compliance with these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create a Salon account or accept these Terms on behalf of a business.

3. Plans, Fees, and Payment

Subscription plans, features, and list prices are described on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Current published plans include Starter, Professional, and Enterprise (including per-location pricing for multi-location chains). There is no free tier.

By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees for the selected plan and any agreed add-ons, taxes, and third-party pass-through charges (such as messaging or payment-processing fees where applicable).

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us in writing
  • You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your designated payment method for amounts due
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access

We may change pricing upon notice. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing period after notice, unless a different effective date is stated.

Custom enterprise or chain pricing may be set out in a separate order form or written agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms on commercial terms only.

4. Salon Responsibilities and Client Relationships

You (the Salon) remain solely responsible for:

  • Your business operations, grooming and pet-care services, staffing, and customer relationships
  • The accuracy of client, pet, appointment, pricing, and operational data you enter
  • Compliance with laws applicable to your business (including consumer, employment, tax, messaging, and animal-care rules where relevant)
  • Obtaining and documenting any consents required for SMS, email, and other communications you send through the Service
  • Your agreements with your clients (service terms, cancellations, deposits, waivers, and veterinary or health disclosures)

Frontier Pet is a software provider. We do not provide veterinary, medical, grooming, or professional pet-care services. We are not a party to the relationship between a Salon and its clients, except as a processor/service provider of Salon data as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you are a Salon client using booking pages or a client portal, your Salon is your primary point of contact for appointments, services, pets, billing by the Salon, and communication preferences. Your use of those client-facing features is limited to legitimate booking and account purposes with your Salon.

5. Acceptable Use

You will not, and will not allow others to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or in a way that harms pets, people, or other businesses
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach security or authentication measures
  • Attempt to access another tenant's data or circumvent tenant isolation or permissions
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Service except to the extent permitted by law
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly allowed for your own Salon operations
  • Send spam or unsolicited marketing messages, or use messaging features without required consent
  • Upload malware, or content that is illegal, infringing, or abusive
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Service to compete unfairly by scraping or bulk exporting for building a competing product

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access for material or repeated breaches.

6. Customer Data and Intellectual Property

Your data.

As between you and Frontier Pet, you retain ownership of client, pet, appointment, messaging, and other business content you or your users submit to the Service ("Customer Data"). You grant Frontier Pet a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use Customer Data solely to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service, comply with law, and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.

Our IP.

Frontier Pet and its licensors own the Service, software, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service during your subscription, solely for your internal Salon business purposes, subject to these Terms.

Feedback.

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

Third-party services.

The Service may integrate with third parties (for example, Square for payments, messaging carriers/providers, hosting, and authentication). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We do not store full payment card numbers when cards are processed by third-party processors such as Square.

7. Communications (SMS, Email, and Notifications)

Salons may use the Service to send transactional and operational communications, including appointment confirmations, reminders, schedule updates, pickup notifications, and similar Salon-related messages.

You represent that you have obtained all required consents and will honor opt-outs (including SMS STOP/HELP where applicable). Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes, as further described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Confidentiality and Security

Each party may receive non-public information from the other. The receiving party will use reasonable care to protect that information and use it only for purposes of these Terms, except for information that is public, independently developed, or rightfully received from another source.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the Service and Customer Data, including tenant scoping, role-based permissions, authentication, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for configuring access within your Salon appropriately and for securing devices and credentials you control.

9. Beta Features and Availability

We may offer alpha/beta or preview features. Those features are provided as-is, may change or be withdrawn, and may be subject to additional terms.

We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages may occur. For paid plans we will use commercially reasonable efforts to restore service after material outages.

10. Warranties and Disclaimers

EACH PARTY REPRESENTS THAT IT HAS THE LEGAL POWER TO ENTER INTO THESE TERMS.

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FRONTIER PET DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • FRONTIER PET WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
  • FRONTIER PET'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO FRONTIER PET FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Frontier Pet and its officers, directors, employees, and agents against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your Customer Data; (b) your Salon services or interactions with clients; (c) your misuse of the Service; (d) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (e) communications you send through the Service without required consent.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription according to the cancellation process we provide (or by written notice if none is published). Accrued fees remain due.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create security or legal risk, or if required by law. We may also terminate for convenience with reasonable notice.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. We may delete or retain Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy and as needed for legal, accounting, dispute, and opt-out compliance purposes. Upon written request within thirty (30) days after termination (unless prohibited by law or ongoing dispute), we will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide an export of available Customer Data in a common format.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date and post the updated Terms at https://www.frontierpet.io/terms (or a successor URL). Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means (such as email to account owners or an in-product notice). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Minnesota will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and each party consents to that venue.

16. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order form or written commercial addendum, are the entire agreement between you and Frontier Pet regarding the Service and supersede prior conflicting terms on the same subject. If there is a conflict, an executed order form controls on fees and commercial specifics; these Terms control on all other topics unless the order form expressly overrides a named section.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger or sale of substantially all assets; we may assign these Terms in connection with a corporate reorganization or sale. Notices to Frontier Pet may be sent to josh@frontierpet.io unless we designate another address. Notices to you may be sent to the email associated with your account.

Sections that by nature should survive (including ownership, fees owed, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) survive termination.
